This is our little girl Chance. I know everyone says that they have the best dog in the world, but we REALLY do! Sorry all of you other dog owners. Chance was a rescue dog that we found one day after deciding to go into PetSmart. We had no intentions of actually getting a dog, but after seeing her, it was all she wrote. We have all kinds of theories as to what type of mix she is. To this day we still do not know for sure. We have heard some interesting ideas from both vets and every one who meets her. Jeff sees the markings of a Jack Russell and Christa is insistent about her having some Boxer blood. Whatever she is, we love her and she brings us many laughs and smiles.

Chance was caught in the act!

Chance is an incredible bundle of energy. She is the only dog I have seen that can give the Energizer Bunny a run for his money. Energetic and sweet is the best way to describe her. She is very loving to us and strangers as well. She loves new house guests, as some of you may have already experienced. I apologize for any excessive dog slurps or any of the dog hair that clung to your clothing. She is a very good dog, although she does have one known weakness. She cannot resist women's shoes. To this date, she has destroyed not only several pairs of Christa shoes, mostly the newest and most liked, but her path of destruction has also taken a pair of one of Christa's good friend's shoes. Sorry Joy :(

The crime scene

Oh, and did we forget to mention that she loves to pull the stuffing out of her toys. It really is not as bad as it looks. This toy she had for about a year before she broke into it. I think it was steel belted or something like that. Most stuffed were injured much quicker. Better the toys than pillows and sofas!

Sharing a moment

Enough about stuffing and shoes. Here is a picture of her giving Jeff a hug. We have never seen a dog who loves to hug and kiss as much as Chance. If you are near the ground, she may take the opportunity to literally jump up on her hind legs and put her arms on your shoulders and begin to lick your face. Caution....this is reserved for only the most tolerant and true hearted dog lovers.
